As a rule: convert or compress when the problem is format or file size; crop and resize when the problem is shape; remove background, erase or censor when something in the picture should go; paint and collage when you are assembling or explaining something.
Files can be up to 25 MB. Supported inputs include JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC/HEIF. Download your result when you are happy with the preview — originals are never overwritten on your device.
Use Compress when a photo or screenshot is too heavy for email, a form, Slack or a website upload. The optimizer looks for savings that keep the picture looking the same on a normal screen.

Work in small passes. Large, busy areas may need a second brush. Only remove watermarks or marks you have the rights to clear.

Best on clear illustrations with few colors. Photos are poor candidates. Reduce colors if the paths look noisy, then edit the SVG in a vector app.
